The 14K gold-fill discs have her favorite subtle, shimmery hammered texture on the front, contrasting with the small, shiny ball accents that form the hinges that hold the whole piece together. Standard length for this all-sterling necklace is about 17" including the lobster claw clasp, with an additional 2" extender chain.
