Handmade Tamegroute Vase - Green

Authentic Tamegroute pottery vase, handmade and wood-fired in Morocco's Draa Valley. Every vase is hand-thrown on a traditional wheel using local clay, then dipped in copper-oxide glaze to create the deep green finish. Hand-shaped ceramic handles are applied while the clay is soft, creating organic curves unique to each piece. Fired in underground wood-fired kilns using centuries-old techniques. No two vases are identical. Perfect as a decorative display piece for dry flowers, branches, or pampas grass. Can also hold fresh flowers and water—we recommend placing a protective inner lining (such as a plastic bottle) inside before filling to prevent potential water seeping, which can occur with hand-thrown pottery. Where pottery touches, minor glaze chips occur naturally. Where ash settles, it creates soft marks and colour variation. Where glaze runs, it pools unevenly. This is the exact opposite of smooth, uniform ceramic production. Each piece carries the story of the kiln and the fire. The variations in glaze depth, the chips at the rim or base, the asymmetry in the handles—these are fingerprints of handmade pottery, not flaws. They prove a Moroccan artisan shaped this by hand and fired it using traditional methods that cannot be replicated by machines.
