Bodrum Black Soil Pot
The Bodrum Black Soil Pot carries the texture of its making — a deep, barrel-bodied form in black soil clay, finished with a wide rolled lip and a surface left raw and uneven. Substantial enough to anchor a large tree, simple enough to stand alone. Our black soil stoneware is made from clay naturally rich in iron oxide, left unglazed so its true surface comes through. Fired in a traditional tunnel kiln at a consistently high temperature, the result is a warm, earthy finish with subtle variation throughout. Part of our Traditional Kiln Fired Collection, made in Vietnam by artisans working with earth-derived materials, traditional kilns, and techniques refined over centuries. Each piece is finished and fired by hand, a process that produces natural variations in surface and tone, ensuring no two are ever identical. Please note, this pot has a hole in the bottom for outdoor drainage. We recommend placing a catcher at the bottom for indoor use.
