Biedermeier Roll-Top Secretary in Cherrywood, circa 1820

Biedermeier roll-top secretary raised on block-mounted square legs and fitted with three drawers in the lower section. Above is a pull-out writing surface concealed by a quarter-cylinder tambour. The interior is arranged with four drawers surrounding a central compartment. The upper section is completed by a wide drawer and a stepped superstructure. The secretary is veneered in cherrywood and retains old, treated traces of worming.
