ABOUT An Art Deco, coin operated weighing machine. Green and yellow enameled porcelain cast iron body with chromed steel viewing window and coin slot. Beneath the thick glass view window lies the scale with an ideal weight chart affixed in front. A handy hook on the side to hold woman's purses. Cast iron foot stand with the manufacturer's embossed maker's mark. CREATOR Ideal Weighing Machine Co., Los Angeles, CA. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1929. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Cast Iron, Porcelain, Enamel, Steel, Bronze, Glass. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Works well. Weight is slightly off but very close.
