Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health First Aid and Wellbeing Advocacy
This Level 2 Certificate has been designed to provide learners with the knowledge to support those with mental health conditions and the ability to carry out the role of a mental health first aider. The course can support the upskilling needs of individuals in job roles with safeguarding responsibilities, such as HR professionals, prison officers, teachers, play workers and religious leaders. It also assists continuing professional development for those in a wide variety of job roles, including office workers, healthcare professionals and pastoral care managers. The course will require 140 hours of study time. This will include 98 guided learning hours with a lecturer, supervisor, tutor, trainer or other appropriate provider of education or training. This Level 2 certificate is open to learners aged 16 and above with a minimum of Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent, although this can be self-certified.
