MAISON NOIR O.P.P. OTHER PEOPLE'S PINOT NOIR 2023
Former Per Se head sommelier André Hueston Mack founded Maison Noir in 2007 as a micro-negociant project, sourcing top fruit from vineyards across Oregon's Willamette Valley—a region defined by its volcanic and sedimentary soils, cool marine influence, and long growing seasons ideal for Pinot Noir. The 2023 O.P.P. (Other People's Pinot) undergoes a seven-day cold soak with 18 additional days of skin contact, fermented in stainless steel and aged 10 months in French oak (30% new). Expect earthy cherry, warm baking spice, and a floral lift over gingery oak tones with supple, medium-bodied tannins.
