KITTENS should be fed free choice, up to two times the adult feeding amount for the same weight, to promote healthy growth and adequate weight gain. To encourage consumption, newly weaned kittens can be offered food moistened with warm water. PREGNANT AND NURSING CATS will consume more, up to 4 times the adult requirement per day, and should be fed free choice.
