Petals 'Cigar Band' ring, 15mm wide, with fine silver embossed petals and brass wire detail. 15mm wide band Fine silver embossed petals, brass wire detail Papermetal is the work of Julie Bailey, a Yorkshire-based studio jeweller working from her garden studio in Thirsk. Her contemporary jewellery is shaped by a close relationship with materials and process, influenced by a background in printmaking. Softened geometric forms in silver are embossed with delicate hand-cut paper petal textures, sometimes contrasted with brass, bronze and copper for a quietly minimal effect. Julie was twice highly commended in the National Platinum Awards and is a selected maker in the Crafts Council Directory.
