July Hat Class
($60) plus supplies* Tuesdays, July 7, 14 & 28 from 5:30-7:00 pm The July Hat is a great project for beginners looking to expand their skill set! Students will learn how to read simple patterns and charts. Knitters should feel comfortable casting on, knitting and purling. During class, we'll cover how to join work in the round, decrease stitches, and how to make a pompom. We'll also go over some finishing techniques so that your new hat will be winter ready! Recommended yarns are Worsted weight Malabrigo Rios, Cascade 220, Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino, and Fiber MacGyver Merino Alpaca Recommended needles are US 7 (4.5mm) & US 8 (5mm) 16” circular needles, and US 8 (5mm) DPNs. * Please note that supplies need to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool Yarns, but as a thank you for attending our classes, students will receive a 10% discount on all non-sale supplies (excluding patterns). Patterns also need to be purchased for the class. Students will also receive a 10% discount on the final day of class for all non-sale purchases. *Classes, if cancelled 10 days before the first day of class, can be exchanged for a future class only. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise. There are no exchanges or refunds for classes cancelled less than 10 days from the first day of class.
