Stapleton's original terminal building served Denver through one of the most explosive growth periods in the airport's history. In 1950, nearly 2,000 passengers a day passed through its doors, a figure that climbed to over a million annually by 1955 as the postwar aviation boom finally arrived in Denver. The terminal itself was modest by later standards, but it anchored an airport that was rapidly outgrowing its facilities, with wings added throughout the early 1950s before the building was replaced entirely in 1954. This 1:400 scale model recreates Stapleton's 1950 terminal as it stood at the dawn of the jet age, 3D printed by Tarmac Designs with attention to the building's original mid-century form. A fitting addition for any historic diorama or for collectors tracing Denver's airport history from Stapleton through to DEN. Made to order — please allow additional production time. Dimensions: 9.7" × 4.5" (246 × 114mm)
