Mt Warning sits snugly in the Tweed Valley, overlooking the sparkling water of the Tweed River. This painting aims to capture the unique magic of Tweed Heads at golden hour; how it perfectly balances a state of stillness and calm with such vibrancy that the entire valley seems to come alive. The grass over the rolling hills practically glows in a patchwork of greens and yellows; the treetops shimmer in shades of hot pink, fiery orange, and buttery yellow; and the water reflects the joy of the sun-streaked clouds like glass. This is the place I grew up, nestled in the Gold Coast region in Northern NSW.
