Richard is renowned worldwide for his mastery of the Pacific Northest Coast weaving traditions. He used traditional techniques with common matrerials of woven raffia, cedar root, beargrass and natural pigments. His authentic works are highly collectible and often signed with his personal mark or gallery provenance. His legacies are preserved in private collections globally and documented in the major Pacific Northwest Cultural Registries like the Burke Museum.
