About this Sustainability Drop Finca Terrerito is certified Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade TSA, and Bird Friendly while also operating as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned farm focused on creating long-term impact for both people and planet. At Finca Terrerito, sustainability extends far beyond certification. The farm never uses synthetic pesticides or herbicides and instead focuses on biodiversity-driven farming practices like composting with recycled coffee pulp, preserving forest habitats for wildlife, maintaining natural water reserves, and naturally raising livestock on the farm. Their production model also prioritizes lower environmental impact by using electric-powered equipment and recycled coffee parchment as fuel for drying coffee rather than wood sourced through deforestation. Process Natural What is the Natural Process? The Natural process is a sun-dried process that involves the drying of cherries whole without the additional use of any other materials, including water for washing or machines for depulping. (Hence the term "natural!) Before the coffee is dried, it is harvested from the trees, floated in water, then sorted to remove any fruits that are not up to standard. From there, the sun-drying begins. Country of Origin: Honduras Region: Copan Farm: Finca Terrerito Varietals: Parainema/Obata Elevation: 1200+ MASL
