Art print : The butterfly effect

“The Butterfly Effect” artwork is inspired by bold woodblock prints. The composition is noticeably different than my previous work, in that it is more editorial and designed to be appreciated both from afar and when you look at it up close. Nestled inside the butterfly wing markings are smol secrets. My dogs and bunnies (Bear, Cub, Cloud bunny & Mighty Smols) are tucked into the panels like they’ve always lived there. Bunnies mid hop, bunnies sitting still, Bear in a bandana, Cub smiling big all found in the pattern. You have to look for them and when you find each one it’s like a smol discovery. Then when you move away, they all blend into the butterfly again, hiding in plain sight. This to me, is ‘the butterfly effect’ made visual. Something vast and patterned, and inside it, all these tender loves representing smol acts of kindness. The characters aren’t on the butterfly but in it, like a part of its markings and a part of what it carries as it flutters away. Size 5x7”
