Latvian Braids and Twists - Paul Haesemeyer - Sat. 8/1

Saturday, August 1 10:00-12:00, 2 hours About this class: It's time to twist your yarns! Learn from Paul the basic skills of Latvian braids, and how Latvians use them in their designs. This colorwork class will show students how to carry, float, and twist yarns to make the iconic Latvian braid. By the end, students will have a sampler swatch to reference for future projects. Level: Intermediate What you’ll need to bring to class: Two different colors of the same weight yarn to play with different color combinations. One light, and one dark. Appropriate size needles to knit in the round with. Can be extra About the instructor: I spent a year abroad learning from some of the best knitters in Latvia. And I can't wait to share my lessons with Flock! I have taught at the Yarn Bar in Billings, MT and have helped teach at Vogue Knitting Live.
