Orville by Gibson LPS Les Paul Standard 1989 Cherry Sunburst Lacquer Finish USA PUs w/ Bag
This Orville by Gibson LPS Les Paul Standard plays and sounds great! This Les Paul comes from Gibson's higher tier of Japanese production, the "Orville by Gibson" line, featuring a lacquer finish, and Gibson USA pickups. This example was produced in the Terada Factory in 1989. This guitar is in great shape for its age, at over 35 years old! As expected, it does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The binding and pearl inlays have aged in color from over time, displaying a more yellow tone. The hardware shows patina consistent with age. The frets exhibit normal light play wear, playing great up and down the neck. The electronics work as they should. This guitar comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL110 (10-46 gauge) strings. The nut and pickup rings appear to be later replacements, and there is no pickguard present. This guitar is otherwise original. Includes the pictured gig bag.
