18k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Ge-Kå Rolf Kaplan, Stockholm This beautiful Modernist ring showcases a large faceted oval smoky quartz elegantly set in solid 18k gold. Designed and handcrafted by Ge-Kå Rolf Kaplan in 1972, it exemplifies the bold, sculptural aesthetic of Scandinavian Modernist jewellery. Ge-Kå Rolf Kaplan AB was based in Stockholm, where the jewellery company operated from 1971 to 1981. The inner band is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks 'GK' (maker),Stockholm motif, three crowns motif (Sweden), '18k' (material) and 'X9' (year). The ring is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The smoky quartz is 19mm long and sits firmly in the setting. The band retains its original shape well. The band is medium sized. It is an AU M 1/2 (EU 52 & US 6.5) with a 16.92mm inner diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
