Barite - Hartsel, CO

Glossy blades of blue-gray Barite crystals from Hartsel, Colorado. Barite is a Barium Sulfate mineral that can form in several colors from clear, to yellow, and in this case, a subtle blue hue. A variety of crystal blade sizes can be seen tucked behind the more prominent crystal up front. This specimen comes pre-mounted on a 1.25 x 1.25" clear acrylic display stand.
