Barrelled block – an online group workshop, June 6th (prep session) and July 11th (workshop)
In this block-based online workshop we’ll be playing with my Barrelled quilt block. The design got its name from the slang to be barrelled, to surf inside the hollow, breaking part of a wave. The workshop covers many skill-building techniques like no-pin curves (quarter circles, ovals and long ovals as well as half circles) precision piecing and lots of pressing and trimming techniques. The 28” block can be multiplied to create a 64” quilt. The blocks can be made using the PSS custom acrylic templates* or the paper templates included with this pattern.
