A lovely, productive medium sized, reddish colored sunchoke strain of this interesting, native, edible tuber producing sunflower relative. Produces large, edible, inulin-rich, potato-like tubers. Easy to grow and will spread underground. Good wildflower as well, very lovely sunflower like blooms return every year. NOTE: If ordered between October-May you will receive 2-4 perennial tubers only, as the annual plant parts die back and are not present during winter. Recommended for Organic Growing Uses: Excellent edible tubers, wildlife, pollinators. Sun Exposure: Full sun to half day sun (full sun is best). Blooms: Blooms late and avoids frosts.
