Southern Edge Film Screening - Thursday 11 June

Hang 10 Film Club presents SOUTHERN EDGE Join us for the very first edition of Hang 10 Film Club at Hang 10 Distillery in Warriewood. Presented by Need Essentials, we’ll be screening Southern Edge featuring surfer and adventurer Torren Martyn, alongside filmmaker Ishka Folkwell. Set against the rugged coastline of Tasmania, Southern Edge follows Torren and Ishka as they attempt to circumnavigate the island in two 18ft sailing kayaks in search of remote waves, slow travel, and deeper connection with the ocean and landscape around them. More than just a surf film, Southern Edge is a story of adventure, friendship, wilderness and the beauty of moving slowly through one of the wildest coastlines in the world. Need Essentials has consciously chosen to invest in filmmaking and creative culture rather than traditional advertising, supporting independent storytelling, surfers, filmmakers and musicians instead of producing unnecessary landfill through excessive promotional materials.
