« A Gospel of Some Sort » is Syd matters’s 5th album and their first in 15 years. In the mid-2000s, Syd matters established themselves on the global indie folk scene alongside artists such as José González and Bon Iver. Their frontman Jonathan Morali then turned to film and video game music, reaching a new audience through the soundtrack of the worldwide phenomenon "Life Is Strange". They now return with « A Gospel of Some Sort », a beautiful and soothing album that bears their signature sound : acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, soaring synthesizers and emotional depth.
