Sarracenia alata var. alata 'Giant Wide Hood Form' (Stone County, Michigan, USA) - American Pitcher Plant
Sarracenia alata var. alata 'Giant Wide Hood Form' has stocky, bright yellow pitchers which grow quite large, with a wide lid with light veining inside the mouth of the pitcher. Overall it's a gorgeous plant. Skill Level: Easy. From: Stone County, Michigan, USA. Light: Min 3 hours direct sun, max all day. Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times. Dormancy: New leaves stop forming during the colder months and old leaves will slowly die off. Pot Size 15cm (2L). Please note some Sarracenia are very large in size and leaves will have to be bent or cut down to fit in smaller boxes. Leaves grow quickly so you don't need to worry about losing some. Larger orders mean larger boxes. If you need your plant to arrive at full height please message me after ordering to discuss shipping options. Bare root option is available to save on shipping, as the pots are 2kg each. Please message me if you wish to go this route, but take note you need special soil types to replant on arrival as they live in moss or peat, not potting soil. Growing instructions can be found here: The last pictures are of the parent plants to show you what they can grow into. *Please note: All plants are unique, photos are used as examples only. You will receive one of the same type and similar condition and size to the one shown here.
