Sarracenia alata var. alata 'Giant Wide Hood Form' has stocky, bright yellow pitchers which grow quite large, with a wide lid with light veining inside the mouth of the pitcher. Overall it's a gorgeous plant. Skill Level: Easy. From: Stone County, Michigan, USA. Light: Min 3 hours direct sun, max all day. Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times. Dormancy: New leaves stop forming during the colder months and old leaves will slowly die off. Pot Size 15cm (2L). Please note some Sarracenia are very large in size and leaves will have to be bent or cut down to fit in smaller boxes. Leaves grow quickly so you don't need to worry about losing some.
