Canada - Musgrove's National Business College 3¢ Inland Revenue Bill Stamp - Training/Cinderella Issue Ottawa, Ontario, circa 1870s-1890s About this stamp: A scarce and historically fascinating piece of Canadian philatelic history. Musgrove's National Business College, located at 33 O'Connor Street in Ottawa, Ontario, produced these training stamps specifically to teach business students the proper use of Canadian inland revenue bill stamps - a required practical skill for commercial bookkeeping and accounting work of the era. The college was active and prominent in Ottawa through at least 1892. These stamps were never valid for revenue purposes and carry no franking power - they are educational cinderella items produced in close imitation of genuine Canadian inland revenue stamps of the period. Both 2¢ and 3¢ denominations are known. Condition: Appears previously hinged with partial gum and a light lower left corner thin, couple of pulled or bent perfs, color fresh and bright.
