Textile Tattoos Class

We are pleased to present a NEW OFFERING at Rainy Day Yarns & Mercantile... Textile Tattoos. You will be instructed by the amazing Rosanna, who will guide you from start to finish (or almost finish) on a beautiful. Please join us! Class Date: Friday, July 10th from 6-8pm Cost: $65 (all material included with the exception a garment you bring to stitch on, if you so choose) Class Detail: Embellish your wardrobe with Textile Tattoos. These are stick and stitch embroidery patterns designed by local tattoo artist, Paige Anderez. In this two hour workshop we will learn how to start your project in the hoop, discuss design placement, learn and practice 5-8 stitches, and demonstrate how to remove Sulky Sulvy from the material. Your project will not be completed in class. Our goal is to build your confidence so you feel comfortable stitching on woven clothing. Some of the stitches you will likely learn in class includes: Back Stitch, Couching Stitch, Fly Stitch, Peking Knot, Reverse Chain Stitch, Seed Stitch, Split Stitch and Straight Stitch. IF you choose to bring a garment to stitch on, please ensure it is cotton, linen or lightweight denim. If you do not wish to bring a garment, material will be supplied for your practice piece. Instructor: Rosanna Diggs is a Port Orchard fiber artist who loves teaching others how to embroider.
