Ground coffee, Maison Javanaise, Indonesia, Woodster
Discover the finesse and indulgence of a home-style coffee with Maison Javanaise, an exceptional selection from Sumatra, Indonesia. Grown at an altitude of 1100 meters under the shade of diverse tree species, this 100% Arabica lot combines Tim Tim and Typica varieties to achieve an impressive SCA score of 85. Sourced from the farm of Fahman Yoga and neighboring producers in the village of Kenawat, these beans are grown according to agroforestry principles, hand-harvested, and carefully patio-dried. This coffee pays tribute to the grandmother of the creator of Woodster, whose historic Brussels boutique, Maison Javanaise, offered premium coffees and teas. Today, Adena and Fahman support the local youth by promoting quality coffee in a region deeply marked by its past history. On the palate, it reveals a fruity, fresh, and sweet profile, where delicate notes of mandarin blend beautifully with the roundness of honey. This balanced cup is ideal for filter brewing methods. The green beans are brought to life by Woodster, a pioneer reviving traditional wood-fired roasting in Belgium. This slow, natural artisanal coffee roasting process lasts between 10 and 15 minutes, highlighting the quality of the beans and showcasing a unique aromatic palette while using renewable, local energy. Now available on RoasterCup, this coffee embodies true passion, heritage, and social engagement.
