Roquefort Papillon Noir AOP
Papillon Noir Roquefort is a benchmark French blue: rich, savoury, creamy and beautifully balanced. Made from raw sheep’s milk and aged in the natural caves of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, it has deep mineral flavour, blue-green veining, a salty finish and a gentle sheep’s milk sweetness underneath. It’s powerful without being harsh — the kind of blue people ask for by name. We haven’t had this one in almost 7 years, so we’re pretty thrilled to have it back. Lovely with Sauternes, Port, dark honey, walnuts or a crusty baguette.
