Felted Baby Giraffe
These charming handmade felted giraffes are more than just a keepsake – each one carries a story of community and care. Every giraffe is lovingly handcrafted by a women's co-operative in Kenya. Wool from small-scale Nakuru farmers is hand-cleaned, dyed, and felted, then shaped into elephants by skilled women working from home in Limuru, Kibera and Rongai – earning an income while balancing family life. Even the stuffing is sustainable, made from clean offcuts donated by a local mattress manufacturer. Because each giraffe is individually made from small batches of hand-dyed felt, no two are ever quite the same. Like their wild counterparts, every giraffe is a true one of a kind, with its own unique character and coat pattern. By choosing one, you're supporting women artisans, small-scale farmers, and the conservation work of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
