Pureflow Ionic Pleat Filter is the ultimate in full-spectrum gravity filtration, combining two stages of the most advanced gravity filter technology available: electrokinetic nanofiber membrane and carbon compound block. Made in the USA for Sertodo. Our Pureflow filter is designed to protect your water quality in regions affected by industry and agriculture. EPA standards do not meet the modern concerns of contaminants affecting our water. These filters trap Forever chemicals, microplastics, and pathogenic microorganisms at the ionic level, along with the wide spectrum of environmental and man-made contaminants adsorbed by an advanced carbon block filter. These filters use a two-step purification process: Electropositive Nanofiber Membrane with carbon substrate, pleated to exponentially increase the surface area available to trap contaminants. Microplastics, Forever chemicals (including newer short-chain PFAS) and organic pathogens carry a negative charge, which are captured and trapped in the positive membrane like a magnet, forming an ionic bond between the contaminant and the membrane. Compound Carbon Block Core is specially formulated to remove fluorides and chlorines commonly added to municipal water systems and assure a consistent filtration rate through the densely compacted carbon compound core to remove environmental contaminants such as lead, herbicides and pesticides, VOC's, pharmaceuticals, endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, taste/odor compounds, and more. If your water source has a high level of particulates or sediment, consider our Ceramic shell filters or using a particulate filter before adding water. The filter element can not be cleaned to increase flow as with our ceramic shell filters. *No activated alumina is used in the filter element.
