Moonflower Tee: 10/17 & 31, 11/21, 12/12

This is an in-person class at Fuzzy Goat! Please review our class policies before enrolling. Adults only please Ksenia Naidyon's Moonflower Tee has a straight silhouette, some positive ease, and gentle neck shaping highlighting collarbones; making Moonflower a comfortable to wear piece perfect for warmer weather and layering. The Moonflower is worked from the top down seamlessly with the round yoke. This design features cable-looking traveling stitches - a combination of increases and decreases that has an appearance of cables while being much easier to knit and resulting in a lighter fabric. The main stitch pattern is easy to memorize and entertaining to knit. Instructions are both charted and written. Come and talk yarn with Melissa to make your best choice Saturdays, 3:00-5:00 pm- October 17 & 31, November 21, December 12 Time: Four 2-hour classes (we don't anticipate being able to arrange make-up classes but we can share our notes) Level 3 Alpine: starting to climb, able to knit and purl, knit in the round and increase and decrease and finished a few projects Skills you need: knit and purl stitch have finished a sweater project have successfully used a knitting pattern a gauge swatch Skills you’ll learn: short rows - changing wrap and turns to the easier german short rows cable-looking traveling stitches using charts vs. written customizing the neckline of your sweater customizing the length while keeping pattern LOTS of classes in one series! to be super excited about knitting a sweater!!! Needles (or size needed for gauge) US 4 & 6 Stitch markers Waste yarn in a smaller weight and contrast color or circular stitch holder for the sleeves Tapestry needle Preparation: Do your gauge swatch as per pattern instructions and block it - reach out to Melissa for specific gauge swatch instructions Cast-on using a knitted or cable-on long tail using smaller needles Melissa Johnson is your Yarnista helping you plan your projects, texting you back & taking your phone orders!
