Art Deco 1.4 Carat Transitional Cut Diamond Bypass Ring

An Art Deco era engagement ring, fabricated in platinum by master jeweler Edward Petri, whose primary gem is a 1.4 carat transitional cut diamond (I/J, VS2). This fiery antique diamond is held in an open, four prong basket, where it is flanked by the diamond-set paisleys that are the ring's shoulders. These swooping forms appear to move toward one another, as if to pass above or below the ring's central diamond (thus, a bypass). Each is bead-set with two chunky, old European cut diamonds. The paisleys are gathered at the base, like a knotted sash, where they blend into the ring's slender, half-round shank. This is an exceptionally well-balanced design!
