Silk Square Hand Painted The Sunset Tree of Life

This is a hand painted silk square small in rich golden yellows, orange, purple and greeny blends with a hint of blue. The Tree of Life design is hand drawn by Louise in the art of batik this is when hot wax is used as a resist to create images of fabric, the wax is removed at the end and the scarf is washed and steam ironed to give a lovely silky smooth finish. The Tree of Life in early Celtic tradition the tree was very spiritual a source of sustenance providing shelter and food for the community.
