Fender Telecaster Jerry Donahue Made in Japan w/ hardcase
A gorgeous signature model Jerry Donahue telecaster from the 90's . Double bound - oh yeh - what a beauty it is . Jerry designed this guitar and it's 5 way switching to give heaps of tonal variety in a telecaster . Being Made in Japan it is a high qulaity instrument , JD signature on the headstock , strat pickup in the neck position . The bridge may have been changed at some point due to the 6 individual saddle set up . This guitar is a medium weight and being 30+ years old has been played so there is some fret wear . Pickup configuration is as follows .... we think !!! Back Position: bridge pickup (vintage type alnico) for the classic bright MIJ Tele sound. ‘In Between’: bridge and neck pickup together with a cap(acitor) ‘n’ phase generated approximation of the Strat ‘in between’ dual pickup tone. It was meant to do the ‘quack’ thing, but to my ears it had a synthetic quality and wasn’t greatly convincing. Middle Position: bridge and neck pickup together in standard format. ‘In Between’: neck pickup routed through tone control. Front Position: neck pickup on tone bypass. It includes a non original hardcase . Pictures help form description.
