This table lamp features a tall, ribbed ceramic base glazed in deep forest green — lush and saturated, the colour of the Eastern Ghats in full monsoon. The form is rhythmic and generous: three bold horizontal ridges encircling the body like the rings of a bamboo stem, the surface alive with the natural variation of a hand-glazed finish. Below, a wide, flat blush-mauve base, unglazed and soft, like wet earth after the first rains. The shade is wide and gently tapered — pale butter-yellow fabric printed with vintage florals, coral peonies, white cotton blooms, and blue-grey foliage trailing across the surface. When lit, the yellow glows warm and honeyed, the florals full and luminous — a garden in full bloom after the monsoon breaks. This is the lamp for a bright, airy room in the middle of summer — windows open, a breeze coming through, the garden outside dripping and green. Material This table lamp has a stem made from stoneware clay, fired at 1220°C, paired with a Chanderi cotton floral lampshade.
