How the BHD makes breathing-quality air Compressed air first passes through a mounted high-quality coalescing prefilter to strip bulk liquid and aerosols. Twin desiccant towers dry the air to a low dew point, while a low-temperature oxidation catalyst converts CO to CO2 and the system reduces CO2 to safe levels. An activated carbon after-filter removes odors and oil vapor, and a particulate final filter polishes the air. A continuous CO monitor watches the outlet, and the NEMA 4 controller manages the cycle and alarms so only safe, Grade D air is delivered.
