2025 Syrah

Sourced from Gill Estate Vineyard, this Syrah emerges as something of a surprise in the 2025 vintage. Following significant losses of Syrah across the valley, we are grateful to offer this limited expression. In contrast to its larger counterpart, Anarchy Syrah—already showing a more muscular profile—this wine represents a lighter, more restrained interpretation. Fermented with 100% whole berries and matured for 6 months in seasoned French oak barriques, the focus is on purity, balance, and gentle extraction. Elegant and clean with aromas of red fruit, layered with subtle spice and a lifted pepper note. Soft and refined on the palate, this Syrah emphasizes finesse over weight. The tannins are smooth and integrated, supported by balanced acidity and a neutral oak profile that allows the fruit to remain clear and expressive. Red fruit carries through the mid-palate, with spice building gently on the back end. The finish is clean, fresh, and lightly persistent. A distinctive reflection of the 2025 growing season—defined by structure, intensity, and precision—capturing a strong sense of place, time, and personality.
