In autumn, the foliage transforms into brilliant shades of orange, red and burgundy before falling to reveal its attractive smooth, exfoliating bark, providing year-round ornamental appeal. Position Lagerstroemia 'Zuni' thrives in full sun for the best flowering display, richest foliage colour and strongest growth. A minimum of six hours of direct sunlight each day is recommended. Growth At maturity it reaches 3-4metres tall Lagerstroemia 'Zuni' develops into a graceful, rounded tree with a dense canopy of glossy green foliage. Throughout summer, the branches are covered in clusters of rich lavender-purple flowers that provide a stunning display for months. Planting Guide Allow 3–4 metres between plants to accommodate the mature canopy. For avenue or feature planting, spacing of 4–5 metres creates an impressive, balanced display. Plant Care Plant in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Water regularly during establishment to encourage a deep, healthy root system.
