Rune Drinking horn - Algiz - A Grade A Grade horns have been expertly handmade–like all our horns–and are in NEW condition, they have been carved with either the incorrect rune (for the original order), name (eg. runes instead of in English) or the order was cancelled before shipping. Rather than discard the product, we'd rather it be appreciated as intended. An opportunity to own one of our horns at a great price. There are no refunds or returns on A Grade and lower discounted items. We use both the Elder and Younger Futhark runes. The Elder Futhark is the oldest form of the runic alphabets and was used by the northern Germanic tribes during their migration period north, right up until 800 CE. During the late 9th century, the Elder Futhark was simplified by the Scandinavians to create the Younger Futhark and cut from 24 runes to just 16. Capacity - 250-400ml (Approx) Handcrafted in the U.K Beeswax lined Algiz Rune - Protection , Shielding , Defence , Shelter , Guardian & Warding off evil . All our horn products are handmade in our Yorkshire-based workshop. All horns arrive in their completely natural state. We then sand, polish and line the inside of each individual piece. All designs are drawn on and carved entirely by hand. The inside of the horn has been extensively cleaned and then lined using food-grade beeswax. We try to keep everything as authentic and organic as possible, which is why we opt for a deodorized beeswax lining rather than a polyurethane one. Because we use natural wax, the horn isn't suitable for hot drinks. All drinking horns and mugs come with a set of care instructions. Any customs fees that may occur with items sent to Europe are payable by the customer.
