Mary paints in gouache, predominantly views and landmarks in and around the Chiltern Hills, drawing her images carefully in pencil beforehand. Her work revisits the classic era of Railway advertising Poster design, recreated in the fresh and vibrant tones of 1930's travel art. She is influenced by the artists famous for creating pre-war advertising posters, particularly Norman Wilkinson. Mary is happy to take commissions for paintings through Obsidian Art.
