Leftovers from TTT – an online group workshop, October 4th

This is an online course consisting of a two hour workshop. The class is based on her latest design, Moore Boulders, and it is a block-based workshop. Learning objectives: A fun curve class covering not just no-pin curves and partial seams but also lots of colour work. We will be playing with the Oval and Long Oval templates to create these leaning boulders, reminding me of Henry Moore sculptures, with added transparent rectangles. You can choose to use the paper templates included in the class or the acrylic templates. Read more about the templates here and where to buy them here. Included: •PDF paper templates •The Moore Boulders pattern (two block sizes, Large: 21” x 19 1/2” and Small: 10 1/2” x 8 3/4” block. •A recording of the workshop Level: The class is targeted at anyone with general quilting knowledge (how to use a rotary cutter, sew with an accurate seam allowance etc). No curve-piecing experience is needed. Itinerary: Workshop – Saturday November 1st, 7pm-9pm GMT World Time Buddy 12pm-2pm PDT 2pm-4pm CDT 3pm-5pm EDT Supplies list: •Quality fine sewing thread (40 or 50wt) in neutral or to match your project •Cutting mat •Rotary cutter •Long gridded ruler •Pins •Seam ripper •Access to a printer (for the paper templates) OR my Acrylic templates* * we’ll be using the Oval and Long Oval DP sets for this class. Not to be confused with the Oval Multiple and Long Oval Multiple DP. The latter works for the Large (21” x 19 1/2”) block but not the Small (10 1/2” x 8 3/4”) block.
