We decorate our pieces with Petrykivka painting - a traditional Ukrainian decorative art that dates back to the 17th century. It was born in the village of Petrykivka, where our family still lives and creates today. In 2013, this art form was recognized by UNESCO and added to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This recognition reflects not only its beauty, but its deep cultural meaning and the way it has been carefully preserved and passed down for more than 300 years. Traditionally, Petrykivka painting was believed to protect the home and the people inside it - bringing happiness, warmth, and well-being. Every element has its own symbolism: flowers and birds, for example, represent love, harmony, health, and protection. This art form follows its own unique rules - from how colors are blended, to the way each brushstroke is applied, even down to the specific brushes used in the process. For over three centuries, people in our region have used this style to decorate everyday objects. In our family, this tradition has been handed down from generation to generation, and today we continue it together.
