A versatile bowl for both practical use and ornamental display. — Woo-Ram (Sam) Choi is a New Zealand-based artist, designer, and maker behind Walk In The Park. Originally from Korea, Sam studied woodworking and furniture design at Hongik University. He began woodturning in 2016 and has since developed a practice-led approach to crafting both functional and sculptural objects. Working from his Auckland studio, Sam handmakes each piece, thoughtfully responding to the unique qualities of New Zealand’s native timbers. His work reflects a commitment to tactility and craftsmanship—merging natural materials with refined form to create objects that are both beautiful and functional.
