HAND MIXED Solid Paint Marker 44 Quad, Atlantis
The HAND MIXED 44 Quad is a solid paint stick that puts down four colours in a single pass. Atlantis runs blue, white, turquoise and purple, split across the tip so one stroke pulls all four at once — a cool, watery palette with a metallic silver quarter running through it. The paint itself is the reason these hold up. The formula was developed in Japan by Sakura Color Products in 1978 and still hasn't been matched for a solid multicolour stick; since 2017 each one is hand-mixed by a small team in Barcelona to fuse the four colours into one tip. It lays down extremely opaque, dries in 4–7 minutes and holds against weather once it's set. Because it's solid paint and not liquid, there's no dripping or bleeding even when you're working upward — the colour stays where you drag it. It bites onto most surfaces and handles a wide temperature range, from freezing cold to serious heat, so it works outdoors year-round.
