From the little known DO near Valencia, Utiel-Requena. This is made from Tempranillo with a supporting cast of Cabernet Sauvignon and Bobal, aged in French oak for depth and complexity. This is just a really good deal for a great Spanish red with a bit of age to open and pour liberally. It's mid weight, loads of lovely fruit but with some spice, leather and oak from the age.
