This is an original US One Sheet cinema poster in near-mint condition for the 2001 film The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring. Printed on it is ‘This film is not yet rated’ which indicates how soon in advance of the main release the poster was printed and distributed to cinemas making it very collectible. This adaptation of the classic novel by J. R. R. Tolkien is directed as a three-part series of feature films by Peter Jackson. This is an advance poster for the first of the three films making it one of the first posters to be circulated for the series. The film tells the story of a hobbit, Frodo, who finds a ring that holds great power. Frodo must travel to Mount Doom in order to destroy the ring. The poster is in near mint condition and the round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.
