Warehouse & Co Lot. 2242 WWI U.S. Army M-1912 Canvas Parka Brown
Warehouse & Co have been producing authentic, high quality garments since 1995. Warehouse continue with their standard aesthetic and development of iconic, classic pieces that have served them so well for 30 years. The M1912 Parka was developed by the U.S. Army during World War I as protective outerwear for soldiers operating in harsh, cold environments. This reproduction draws from an early duck canvas example, dating from a period when military specifications were still relatively loose. The original garment even retains traces of a tag bearing the name of a civilian manufacturer. Made from pre-dyed selvedge canvas, the parka features a large kangaroo pocket to the front and a generous silhouette designed to be worn loosely. Practical, hard-wearing and full of period character, it’s a distinctive piece of early U.S. military outerwear. 100% cotton Pre dyed selvedge canvas Based on WWI issue Parkas Large kangaroo pocket Generous/over-sized silhouette Drawstring hood Adjustable ties on cuff Made in Japan
