The M1912 Parka was developed by the U.S. Army during World War I as protective outerwear for soldiers operating in harsh, cold environments. This reproduction draws from an early duck canvas example, dating from a period when military specifications were still relatively loose. The original garment even retains traces of a tag bearing the name of a civilian manufacturer. Made from pre-dyed selvedge canvas, the parka features a large kangaroo pocket to the front and a generous silhouette designed to be worn loosely.
