Arrebatado

Arrebatado is a small vertical painting built from a dark, compressed field in which horizontal shifts of muted light remain partially visible. The image is held between opacity and atmosphere: its reduced structure suggests a place without fixing it as a fully legible scene. Acrylic is worked across the canvas in layered, streaked passages, allowing the surface to retain traces of both construction and interruption. The painting belongs to Wilame Lima’s Apocalypse series, where reduction weakens descriptive certainty while preserving the pressure of an image that has not entirely disappeared.
