In the days before, steamships were susceptible to the dangers of the wild coastline of Vancouver Island. My first visits to Tofino by the sea reminded me of the importance of lighthouses on the coastline of B.C. There’s something special about coming to a lighthouse that signals danger to ships, which also signals a safe passage to a calm harbour. I’ve created many images of Lennard Light over the years, and this image of The Light is a pleasure to share. I love the comfort of the light from a lighthouse as I approach a harbour, with the sunset accentuating The Light.
