Routeburn Pinot Noir is a Wine Diamonds exclusive label, sourced directly from a well-regarded, Biogro-certified organic Central Otago winery. Using our own label allows us to price it as we like, without reference to the original wines' $45 RRP. Aromas: Spicy, dark cherry, truffles, dried herbs, amaro Palate: Powerful, concentrated fruit, long savoury finish with mushroom, sage, forest floor and cacao. Characteristics: Nice balance of intense fruit and complex savoury notes. Plush, silky tannins. Juicy. Vibrant. From the winemakers: "Our fourth release. Hand-harvested, wild-fermented and matured in season French oak for 22 months. Lifted aromas of black cherry, cassis and bramble, a palate layered with fruits, spice and superfine tannins, and nuances of of maple, graphite and dried herbs on the finish. Delicious from release but will develop with time." Vegan friendly.
